Support Groups
AMI-Québec's support groups provide a warm welcome for caregivers and those
suffering from mental illness, helping them to better understand and cope with
the implications of the illness on their everyday life. They are particularly
important for family members, as the right sort of family intervention has been
shown to improve patient functioning and even delay or prevent a relapse.
Support groups have proven to be a beacon of light during times of crisis.
