AMI-Québec, a grassroots organization, is committed to helping
families manage the effects of mental
illness through support,
education, guidance and
advocacy. By promoting understanding, we work to dispel the stigma
still surrounding mental illness, thereby helping to create communities that
offer new hope for meaningful lives.
Mental illnesses, known to be biologically-based brain disorders, can
profoundly disrupt a person's ability to think, feel, and relate to others.
Mental illness affects not only individuals, but their families, friends, and
everyone around them.
